This class is best for children and adults who have never used a tail before. This is not a certification class, however, you will be taught the basics so you can be better prepared for future certifications you may pursue.

Students must be at least 6 years old, in good physical health, and comfortable in the water.

This class is not recommended for children and adults who don’t know how to swim.

Approximate time commitment: 1 hour

- Must 6 or older. If under 16, student must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
- Good physical health. Students may be required to submit a signed physical exam stating they are able to complete the course.
- Required: Monofin and mermaid tail. If you do not have these, you can purchase from our recommended list of safe monofins and tails.
- Required: Mask and snorkel. NO GOGGLES.
- Required: Bifins (traditional fins you wear on each foot).
- Recommended: Weight belt.
- Recommended: Wetsuit.
